So, you do not have to be a complete style diva on your visit to Paris.  Wear what is comfortable, just make sure it is appropriate for wherever you are visiting.  However. There are a couple of things you need to consider.

Have you ever seen the quintessential tourist, wearing loud colors, fanny packs, and sneakers or flip flops into a rather fancy or smart place?  Well … try not to mimic that.  Do not wear sneakers into the opera house, but do not feel compelled to wear evening wear to the outdoor cafe, either.

What a lot of people do not know about the Conciergerie is that it was actually built in the 14th century.  This incredible building holds a men-at-arms room, a kitchen and also a guardroom.  It is located on Ile de la Cite and it was build by Phillipe the Fair.  Basically, the Conciergerie was the very, very first prison that was ever built in Paris and while you might not be the type of person that would be into a sight like this, I am!

The beautiful building holds so much history and it truly is breathtakingly beautiful.  The Conciergerie, during the French Revolution actually had about 3,000 condemned people in the cells that ended up dying in there.  There were even people that spent time in the Conciergerie that were picked out and transported to the Guillotine; Marie-Antoinette was one of them.

So if you want to see something dark and experience something gothic and spiritual, you should visit the Conciergerie.  It is definitely an experience!

Notre Dame Cathedral is by far one of the best things to come out of Paris.  Not only is this incredible building one that everyone should see at some point in their life, but it is breathtakingly beautiful and certainly a life experience.

When you really think about it, Paris has some beautiful buildings and a whole lot of culture in there.  Not only is Paris the capital of love, but to be quite honest – it is the capital of having a whole bunch of buildings that are so amazing and so historic.

So really, you should go to Paris just to see some of these incredible buildings … like the Notre Dame Cathedral.  Honestly ladies and gentlemen, this building is worth it and the experience is fantastic!

Whenever you are visiting Paris, there are a few things that you need to make sure that you visit and Musee Rodin is definitely one of those things.  This is pretty much where the artist Auguste Rodin spent the very last years of his life. 

He was in Paris from 1908 – 1917 and he sculpted ever-so-many beautiful things that are still present in many of Paris’s museums.  All of his private collections reside in Paris and they are breathtakingly beautiful.

The best known piece that Musee Rodin has done is the ‘Thinker’ and this is also one piece that resides in Paris for everyone to view.  So if you are looking for culture, Paris is one of the few cities in the world that is jam-packed with all sorts of culture.

England has London, The United States has New York City and Italy has Florence and while those are all beautiful in their own respect, there is something to be said about Paris.  Paris is a magically city that France is definitely proud of.  Paris is one of those cities that you can fall in love with and hate all at the same time.

Personally, I have never been to Paris and while I do plan on honeymooning in Paris, I have done a lot of research on it.  Paris, to be honest is a wonder all in its own.  It is the capital of everything luxury and the center of everything fashion related but it is certainly one of those cities that are understated and elegant as well.

So the next time you are looking for magic, take your magic to Paris and I can promise that you will fall in love … completely and totally in love with everything that this beautiful, enchanting city has to offer.

Firstly, you want to make sure that you have the hours of the flea market down, after all, flea markets aren’t open all the time!  Next, you want to make sure that you go before lunch, unless you like the crowds.  Immediately after lunch is when the vendors get all of their best business and the flea market certainly becomes more and more packed.  Finally, you want to make sure that you keep your wallet in a fanny pack … flea markets are filled with pick pockets and while that may sound weird, a lot of hotels and such get calls about tourists losing their wallets and even their passports because of pick pockets.
