This beautiful railway is something that has been around for quite some time now and honestly, it is a part of Paris history that a lot of people that live in Paris do not even know about. The Petite Ceinture is beautiful and there are truly a lot of sights that you should see.

Just make sure that you do your research and I can promise that the Petite Ceinture is totally worth it!

There is so many different sculptures to visit, paintings to take in and pieces of furniture to really retrace and in a way – the Musee Carnavalet is truly the Paris exhibit and it is something that no one should miss. All of the rooms are decorated to evoke different periods and you will see it all from the furniture.

The pieces in the Musee Carnavalet are beautiful and I have to say that this is a museum that no one … ever go goes to Paris should miss!

The Montparnasse Tower elevator will whisk you away to the top in just about 38 seconds … from there, you will be about 685 feet up and there is actually a bar/restaurant on the 56th floor. You can have some lunch or dinner or even breakfast there and see all of the city, which is fantastic!

Just by the restaurant is an exhibition that traces all of the history of Paris since about 1858 – which is really nice if you are a history buff!

Now that we have talked about getting around Paris – what about food? Honestly, this is what people will spend the most money on because why wouldn’t you want to eat right when you are in Paris? There is a way around it though and that is by having a picnic.

Think about it – getting some fantastic sandwiches and really sitting down in one of the many, many parks that Paris has? How great does that really sound?

To me, that sounds like heaven and that is truly how I got around. Baguette bread was definitely my best friend when I was in Paris and it is definitely a hearty and good treat.

The first thing is not renting a car and just relying on your legs and also the public transportation. While this is definitely going to take a while to get used to and you are probably going to get lost a heck of a lot, which is all part of the charm.

In the next blog, we will talk about how you can eat cheap – yet awesome. Stay tuned guys, it is so worth it!

It all depends on what you actually plan to be doing.

If you just want to explore at your own pace and see what you can see, then undoubtedly walking will be your best option. You may even want to rent a bike — now, that does not mean going on a bike tour, although that is available as well. However, renting a bike just for you — and whomever you are with, of course — will allow you to set your own pace.

For sightseeing, the double decker buses are a whole lot of fun, and you will get to see all of the most famous sites.

And if you are just hanging out, do not be afraid of the Metro.

You can take a walking tour, you can go on a bike tour, you can even just wander willy nilly as you please. One of the most popular ways to tour this beautiful and romantic city, however, is through an open bus tour.

They are ideal for visitors who do not really have the time to see the city on foot, or who do not know how to navigate the city particularly well.

The buses come regularly so you can always find one ready to take you all over the city’s most renowned sites. There are even special two day passes which allow you to see all those must see sites within that time period.

Many of the tours will even take you to places off the beaten path that may not be detailed in all of the guide books.

When you look around Paris, there is so much to see and so much beauty, it is very hard to take it all in … however, if you are looking for a particular place or sight that you should be seeing, it should be the Luxembourg Gardens. These gardens were actually open only to the royalty before the French Revolution and now – they actually serve as one of Paris’s premier spots to relax.

The Luxembourg Gardens is actually something that is so breathtakingly beautiful and so awesome that you truly have to see it up close and personal. The backdrop alone makes for a fantastic picture and the beautiful buildings that are within the Luxembourg Gardens are simply the best.

The fountain that is there is incredible and all around – the Luxembourg Gardens are the sight that you should be seeing!

If there is one thing that I have known about Paris, it is that they hold some of the best museums in the world. The Cite des Sciences et de l’industrie is one of those museums that is not only beautiful to look at, but the knowledge that is held inside this incredible science museum is awesome. The best known thing about the Cite des Sciences et de l’industrie is the Geode dome with an impressive 180-degree cinema.

The great thing about this particular museum is that it is absolutely geared for children. Any kids aged three and over will absolutely be in love with the Cite des Sciences et de l’industrie, as there is a real submarine, the Argonaute and finally they can explore the Espace Explora.

Sightseeing in Paris is beautiful and fun and when you have something like the Cite des Sciences et de l’industrie … you know you are definitely going to be seeing something amazing!
